Cross-country in Costa Rica

In the one half of the country it's the dry season. It (almost) doesn't rain, but it's very humid, especicially along the coast. There are many clouds, in the mountains, at high altitude, which make for precipitation. The other half of the country is about to enter the rainy season, but it rains continually. The inhabitants are confused and we're getting wet (every once in a while).

With Isabelle

Isabelle and I are on vacation. We've rented a 4x4 and using it for its intented purpose: I'm seeing just as much gravel as on the motorcycle...

Vacation

Nicaragua (and the small piece of Costa Rica I've seen) are rapidly becoming vacation destinations for ... Gringo's. I was looking at sunsets right from the hotel deck, but I have avoided the places where everyone else goes. I had to (partly) penetrate the back country for coffee and tobacco, where the roads are unpaved (great!(.

Gone divin' in Honduras

Honduras is far from free of weapons, but the people seemed nicer... I took another diving course on the island called Utila (reachable by boat from La Ceiba).

Not very safe

Guatemala leaves an unsafe impression. Tikal was worth it, but I decided to skip the kolonial highlights.

Chiapas

Because I did not feel like leaving Mexico, a detour to the south of this country seemed appropriate.
